The Concept

The WhiteRoomSupperClub is hosted in a stylish apartment overlooking London. The idea is to give people the chance to enjoy good food and meet new people in a relaxed homely atmosphere. It should just feel like a dinner party with friends. Evenings are BYO and the suggested donation is £35. Please email for reservations.
The Supper Club is located minutes from the City and the Barbican and is also close to the tube and various bus routes.

The Food

You will be served seasonal 4 course menus at the WhiteRoom. The ingredients are as far as possible locally sourced, fish comes from Steve Hatt, meat from McKenna Meat and most of the fruit and veggies from the stalls at Chapel Market.
Although menus are posted, I can always cater for dietary requirements. Just ask when booking.

Private Dinners

Having a birthday coming up or a corporate occasion to celebrate? You can book the WhiteRoom for private dinners from 8 to 25 people. Just get in touch for further details.

It's almost Christmas Time

One more dinner this week - then a 2 weeks holiday and soon it will be Christmas. The dates for the festive dinners are posted. It's a bit to go -but they are popular - so book quickly. Also if you fancy a night with your friends or colleagues - away from the bust restaurants -why not book an evening at the WhiteRoom. No table turn around - no boring food - even an indoors smoking corner - nothing a restaurant can offer at that the busy time of the year. Finally a bit of Sunshine


Finally sunshine arrived and diners could enjoy their pre-dinner drinks and Canapes on the balcony. Hopefully we will get some more Indian Summer evenings later this month. Dates and menus are out for the next 2 events. And then at the end of the month and beginning of October there will be two dinners around seasonal mushrooms. Already thinking of appropriate desserts.

Summer (?) Dinners


Despite the fact that I had to switch on the lights a couple of times at the start of the dinners in this so-called summer, guests in July enjoyed great evenings with summery food. Cod Saltimbocca on braised marrow is what you see on the right and a selection of strawberry desserts on the left.

Exciting Times


Last month has been exciting. The White room supper club was featured on TV - it is in German but looks good. The link is below - check it out.
Another great adventure is the catering I am doing until July 16 for The Secret Consul an amazing guerilla opera in Limehouse Townhall. Come and check it out and have some Quiche or Cake from my kitchen.
And of course also the last few suppers were very exciting. Guests enjoyed the food and the company.

White Asparagus came to London



During this months the WhiteRoom hosted 3 dinners around German White and English Green asparagus. Not only soups, quiches and Asparagus with Hollandaise were on the menu but the WhiteRoom offered Asparagus Ice Cream and Mousse for dessert. It was great to see reaction to the recipes - some of the guests had never tried the white variety and some from the continent loved to get their favourite seasonal fair.

The White Room's 1st Birthday

Last month the White Room celebrated its first birthday twice. Both nights were a great success. People enjoyed each other's company and of course the food. On the coming weekend there will be 2 Easter Dinners - with all the decorations. And then on Easter Monday there will be an informal Easter Brunch. Buffet Style - the German way - lot's of homemade baking to be expected ;-).

In May it will be Asparagus time again - thanks to the German Deli I will be able to offer fresh German Wahlbecker Asparagus - which was a success in the first year. In Germany every restaurant will have their menus designed around this delicacy during May - so the WhiteRoom will once again follow it's ethnic roots. Latest News

Okay - I have to admit I am better in cooking than blogging. Looking at the date of the last post people could think I am not running the supper club any longer. But there have been lots of dinners in between then and now. Lot's of festive fun in December and already 3 dinners in 2011. And in March the White Room turns 1. Two celebration dinners are set up for that occasion. And then in April the famous Easter Feast including Egg Tree and all the other trimmings will be back for 2 nights.
