Booking & Information

The Concept

The WhiteRoomSupperClub is hosted in a stylish apartment overlooking London. The idea is to give people the chance to enjoy good food and meet new people in a relaxed homely atmosphere. It should just feel like a dinner party with friends. Evenings are BYO and prices vary according to the menus. Please email for reservations.
The Supper Club is located minutes from the City and the Barbican and is also close to the tube and various bus routes.

The Food

You will be served seasonal 4 course menus at the WhiteRoom. The ingredients are as far as possible locally sourced, fish comes from Steve Hatt, meat from McKenna Meat and most of the fruit and veggies from the stalls at Chapel Market.
Although menus are posted, I can always cater for dietary requirements. Just ask when booking.

Private Dinners

Having a birthday coming up or a corporate occasion to celebrate? You can book the WhiteRoom for private dinners from 8 to 25 people. Just get in touch for further details.

September Dinners

Last weekend was the end of the summer break - first dinner was a great success. Guests enjoyed a Courgette Soup, followed by pickled mackerel on fennel salad, Quail from Smithfield - thanks to MarkyMarket and a rose wine and raspberry sorbet on panna cotta. And although everyone was very full, no one could resist the little pralines after dinner.
i am really looking forward to tomorrow - the Sage Ice Cream is divine. The rest to be prepared in the morning- Cod, Scallops, Leeks, Mackerel, Melon, Sage - that's the flavours.

Easter Dinner - Chicks and Bunnies stars of the night

Yes, for the Easter dinner the White Room went colourful. Complete with Egg Tree and little chicks and bunnies all over the place. And what a success - after a few glasses of wine the guests emerged in playing with all the little buggers - they were even named. But besides that the food went down well as well. Also here lots of detail - bunny shaped bread rolls and creme cheese canapes. Not to forget the amazing white chocolate Easter Egg for dessert. So now the wait begins for the Fish and Seafood Dinner on April 17. Will have to come up with a new theme to keep the guests entertained.

Photos of the Second Dinner

Again - there was no time to take pics of the Starter and Mains - there were delicious and well presented though. Looking forward to the Easter Extravaganza

Another Dinner over

What an exciting day - got up early for all the preparations - was ready much too early as usual. The long wait for the people to arrive - but all 10 of them turned up almost in time. And although I was a bit worried about having one group of 6 and 2 groups of 2 the mingling was perfect. The bigger group actually split up around the table to allow for more socialising. The food went down well - lovely soup and then the venison followed by the honey parfait - most plates came back completley empty - and while working in the kitchen I heard lots of laughter. Besides having to be at work at 6am in the morning guests left jsut before midnight. I would call that a success!!

Venison for this week

Just oredered the venison from MarkyMarket - will get delivered straight from Smithfield Market. A recent hike to the local supermarket brought most of the other ingredients in - so just left with the fresh veggies, fruits and flowers on Wednesday. It's a shame that I do not get some of the food to eat as well...Anyway - 2 places left for Thursday - please email to book!

Some Pictures of the first Dinner at the White Room

It's done

First night over - was much easier than expected. People had good fun, enjoyed food and company. I was so surprised - the group seemed to be a big mix of ages and backgrounds but everyone stayed for about 2 hours after dinner finished - exactely what I liked to achieve with the concept - so the venue definitely works out. I loved it. What a great thing to do!

Thursday 4 March 2010

Opening Night

It is so exciting - 2 hours before the guests arrive - obviously as usual panicked today and all the preparation is finished already. Now it's just waiting. At least 2 out of the 10 guests are friends to give me moral support. But still - although everything went well and looks good - will people like it? Watch out - for the latest news tomorrow. Will take pictures!
